I usually run my road bikes on this trainer with the same 700x23c or 25c slick road tires I would use outside. They seemed fine and relatively quiet and not excessively worn by the trainer. Although Ive never used a KK, I have ridden various mag and wind trainers and I think that the Cycleops fluid is everything one could hope for in that type of unit; good resistance, decent "road feel", not that loud, and well made and sturdy.
